People, particularly Filipinos, are quite good when it comes to this thing. Tossing. You know what I mean? Let's have an example. In school. You just had a lunch, and a sweet or a menthol candy might be your toothbrush substitute to hide the smell of what you just eaten. Max, X.O, what else?Hmm. You unwrapped your candy and did you just know what you did to the wrapper? You threw it away. But where? Not in the trash can of course, which was just a few feet away from your dropping spot. The crumpled, torn plastic which was small enough to fit in the pockets of your bag without even affecting one percent of its contents, laid there ignored and being stepped on by shuffling feet. And you,the person who just devour that sweet was in pleasure of just eating a candy. You didn't even think about the school hallway floor where you just dropped your candy wrapper effortlessly. Or even about the janitor who was industrious enough that even when students are still inside the classroom without the presence of their professor yet, is coming in his own will to sweep the floor. Do you know what, you lazy asses, are your reasons for throwing away your candy wrappers anywhere? You, reader, might think of yourself the time you were saying,“What's the use of a janitor if there's no trash to pick up?” Haha. What a lame. It may sound funny to someone like you. But there are some who just fall silent. Maybe because it's in your bloodline to have an automatic reaction of tossing the moment your hands lay on your junks. If there is a reward or a certificate of recognition of “ Best Trash Tosser”, well, a lot of names and faces will flash in my head and be on my list. Let me tell you guys, I know some of my classmates who has the chances of winning that title. ;)

This doesn't only happen in school. Outside,I've seen a lot or rather everyone, who disrespect their environment. Tapon dito, tapon doon! Nobody is in exception. Children do the same. What do their teachers teach in their school? Earlier on my way home, I have seen a boy who was just about to cross the pedestrian lane. He just finished his drink, and I think you already know what became of his juice container. There's no need for me to mention it anymore. His face will be remembered for my list. Uhh.
Let me give you some of the trash that I hated the most in descending order.
- Obviously, the candy wrappers
- the plastic used for making ice, which sells for P2.00, and has a straw for sucking the liquid contained in that plastic.
- Sucked cigarettes
- plastic cups
- barbeque sticks from quek-quek, fishballs,and kalamares!
- Emptied bags of chips
- others (hehe)
If I have a time, I will post some of the pictures and the owner of the garbage.
Oh men. How I hope what I'm talking about is getting into you right now. I want it to bore in your head and please... I BEG, that you become disciplined even just a bit for your own mother nature.
Our surrounding is mistreated as a garbage can. It's a garbage can that contains a garbage. People, we are all responsible for our actions. Remember how we become troubled on our own doings. During rainy seasons we complain on clogged drainage and floods. We don't realize BEFORE this could happen, that it will be our own fault if we suffer the consequences. You may be one of those people who had been mad and blamed the people you thought has the power to solve this environmental problems without knowing that you have a big part in maintaining the cleanliness too. Come on guys, we need a change. Stop being LAZY. Do your part as a responsible individual. It's for your own good. And for everyone.
You may think I'm a loser or some kind of a citizen who is overreacting about her concerns, and even have the guts to say her thoughts in public to the extent of blogging it. Sorry, but it's just my way of sharing what I want and you can't do anything about it. Hope you realized something important here.
Now you are just about to finish reading my first blog. After a while, I wish you'll think about what you read. And hopefully will care too.
Can you stop yourself throwing garbage anywhere? Can you at least be an organized person for the sake of your environment? Can you tell others to do the same thing?
